Iain Levison was born is Aberdeen, Scotland in 1963 and went to the US in 1974. After graduating from high school, he returned to the UK to join the British Army. He was promptly sent to Peru to burn cocaine fields. Three years later, he returned to the US, where he has worked as a truck driver, house painter, Alaskan crab fisherman and an Emergency Medical Technician. He is the author of the widely reviewed and commercially successful novels Working Stiff's Manifesto and Since the Layoffs. Bitter Lemon Press published his noir thriller Dog Eats Dog in 2008. Three of his novels were made into films in France, including Dog Eats Dog, which appeared in 2022 as “Canailles”. Iain Levison currently resides in Southampton (UK).
