We had two shortlisted entries in last night's CWA awards ceremony: Carofiglio's novel "The Cold Summer" for the International Dagger and Teresa Solana's "I Detest Mozart"--from her "The First Prehistoric Serial Killer and other stories" collection--for the Short Story Dagger. Teresa was the runner-up, highly commended by the jury. Only 2 of 7 award categories felt compelled to announce a runner-up. Teresa must have been very, very close to winning it!
